The new manager is working out!

Why haven’t I been blogging in such a long time? Well I will tell the story.  We have finally got Linda into the command chair of Guardian and I am over at Access. It has taken a couple of weeks but things are starting to settle down. It was a crazy first two weeks for Linda. One of the things we did was set up gift bags for the Chamber of Commerce.  Every year they hold a luncheon for all the new teachers hired in the Yukon School District. This year they expect 100 new faculty members to be present at the luncheon. So Linda and I are up till 11:30 pm putting together mini gift bags for these teachers.

We used every flat surface we could spare to get the job done.

Putting the bags on the floor is not an option because we have a Pomeranian that looks like this,

but can walk through a room like this.

So the morel of this story became apparent the next day when we dropped off the packages at the chamber. I had miss-heard the dates and the donations were not due for another 30 days.  It seems Linda has a doofuss for a boss.

Things coming up: We have started the auction process and I looks promising that we will go all the way this time.

So Linda has also been doing Auction calls and mailers to our customers at Guardian, John has been doing the same at Access, yet he only has 3 units to start with. If we can keep at least one in the auction it will be a miracle.

Auctions are a pain to set up, but Auction Day is quite fun.

Here is an interesting observation about humans.

My office is attached to the house(which makes my commute very short). From time to time while I have a customer in the office our dog, Starbuck, will walk into the room look around . Customers really seem to like the dog. She is cute and tiny and thinks she is a lot bigger than she is, oh did I say she is completely deaf.

So in comes the dog and on cue the customers will say “oh she is adorable what’s her name“? I then say that “her name is Starbuck and she is totally deaf“. Every time they bend down and say “here Starbuck” and she walks away. She’s deaf…. What do people think that means? The dog can’t hear you she has no idea your talking and even if she did do you think se speaks English?

So I about to take this picture for this blog and what do I do? I say “Hey Starbuck look here”. sometimes I embarrass myself.
